As well as a major sporting venue in Melbourne which sees some of the biggest events throughout the year, including The Boxing Day Test and the AFL Grand Final, the MCG is now also one of Melbourne’s most popular event and conference venues.
There are 29 different function rooms available so there should be something to suit your event! There are conference spaces that can accommodate up to 750 delegates which puts it in a comparable space to the MCEC further down the Yarra.
The vast atrium spaces are ideal for exhibitions or as breakout areas, with many of the rooms blessed with floor to ceiling windows which allows for natural light and a relaxed environment. Clear sightlines of the footy field or cricket pitch always excites the sports fans in the audience.
The in-house AV team are a trustworthy bunch and are always happy to accommodate requests for lighting on stage, which is always great for your conference photographer.
Catering is provided by the reliably great Epicure, who have become a bit of a Melbourne institution and are often found supplying their high quality catering at large events around the city.
Guided tours of the ground can be arranged, and if you’re looking to entertain or impress your guests a visit to the National Sports Museum is also on offer. The giant MCG scoreboard and field side LED ribbon screens are also available for use if you’re looking to impress your guests or cement your corporate branding in their minds.
Whether it’s post conference drinks in The Long Room or a corporate group photo under the icnoic Melbourne Cricket Ground sign, the MCG has plenty of options for your next corporate event, and we’d love to be there to photograph it for you! Get in touch for your free photography quote.
